We had planned on stopping here on the way to Missouri but we ended up stopping for a new battery for the van instead! We managed to make it on the way home though and it's a really neat place to visit. It is also FREE! Well worth the short drive off I-44. It's in Carthage Missouri.
They have a tour every hour and you go down to the 'Chapel' and they explain all of the paintings and stuff to you then you can walk around and see everything on your own. Pictures are allowed but no 'flash' photography so some came out rather dark. There are some really pretty stained glass windows in the chapel and the museum has a very big doll house that was really cool to look at. Here are a few more pictures!

wow! i didn't even know that this place existed, and now i absolutely have to go there! lol! very fun! :)
They say it's Missouri's best kept secret! Well at least the ladies at the chapel do. It's worth the visit if your in that area!
